The Ride Through Louisville's Great Neighborhoods®

Plan now to participate in the

                          Tour de Spirit®

September 29, 2007

The Tour de Spirit is an annual urban bike ride to raise money for UrbanSpirit's poverty education work, and to raise awareness of Louisville's lesser-known neighborhoods. Have you ever seen the Old Forrester whisky bottle water tower? Did you know there's a historic tobacco mansion that now is home to a church? Wanna ride where tens of thousands of cyclists rode in an international race before the turn of the last century? This is your ride!
Thanks to our 2006 sponsors, volunteers and honorary ride captains! They are listed below, and we hope you'll thank them personally whenever you get a chance.

Celebrating Urban Cycling, our Honorary Ride Captains in 2006 were:

  • Mayor Jerry Abramson, Louisville Metro

  • Heidi Caravan, Director of News & Programming, Public Radio Partnership
  • Ann Coffey, Executive Director, Women4Women
  • Harry Pickens, Jazz Pianist
  • Leisa Speer, Superintendent, Catholic schools in Louisville
  • Dr. Adewale Troutman, Director, Louisville Metro Health Department

Thanks, too, to our community partner, Bicycling for Louisville. Check out the great work they do!

One Sponsor Steps Up:
Use this link to buy Your RoadID through our website, and we share the proceeds. It's a great product -- available in anklet, wristband, dogtags -- and safety is always a good idea! Not just for cycling -- Deb wore hers for a political demonstration. In times like these, it's good for folks to know who you are and whom to call.
