How did I get on UrbanSpirit's mailing list??

You know someone who knows someone who knows us. That’s the short answer. At UrbanSpirit, we build our email list one name at a time. We didn’t buy your name from some broker; we didn’t mug your friend and steal her PDA. We collect names from folks we know. Somehow, that system brought us to you. Maybe you met Deb at event, or maybe she preached in your congregation. Maybe you bought our coffee. Maybe you are part of one of our supporting congregations, denominations, colleges or seminaries. We have friends among Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Disciples, UCC, Baptist, Roman Catholic, Quaker. Friends in the Jewish and Muslim communities. Friends from all over the country, even other parts of the world. We have friends work for justice in poverty rights, glbt causes, disaster relief, homelessness and housing, community development. We have friends who are professional educators, migrant farmworkers, preachers, bike riders, lawyers, retail clerks, students, activists, retired and unemployed. Rabble-rousers and regular folks. You know someone who knows us. And even if you don’t want to stay on this list, you stay in good company.
