Buildings are
resources, meant to be used for good purposes. These buildings have been
entrusted to us for the community's good, and we will faithfully restore
them to usefulness. |

...a grand old worship home
with a chance for new life.
The church building was the home of Grace
Lutheran Church for 110 years. When Grace closed in 2001, we were given the
property for creative use in this development. The sanctuary was built in
1938, replacing a 1890s sanctuary that was condemned and demolished. The
education and office building which wraps around the sanctuary was built in
1924. With recent renovations, it now has dormitories for 60 people,
including shower rooms, and retains the commercial kitchen, dining hall,
fellowship hall with stage, and wonderful sanctuary.

... a groovy apartment, finally finished,
thanks to Keith and Deke and their volunteers. It now serves as an office for
ministry. |

...its parsonage restyled as a retreat
house.
The parsonage was used by the church's pastors for many years, and in some
years leased to a local family as a source of income for the congregation. We
have renovated it as a staff and retreat house, refurbishing the living and
sleeping spaces, completely overhauling the kitchen, and adding bath and laundry facilities in the basement.

Sadly for
sale...this 1890s' drugstore.
This Victorian lady, the Schweitzer Building, has been a landmark in the
community since the last decade of the 19th century. With 3800 square feet,
and a prime location on a busy corner, it could be just the place for your
office or home. For more info or a tour, call Steve: 502-817-2460.
