a half-week introduction to social justice themes, just for middle school

This event is for youth completing grades 5-7 who may not be ready for the intensity of the Poverty Simulation. In just 4 days, youth will experience a "social justice camp," exploring biblical themes, neighborhood issues and character development through games, movies, activities, worship and service projects.

This may be just the event to prepare your group for our Poverty Simulation Week, or to lay a biblical foundation for another mission trip.

Program Costs and dates

We have one SoJust program scheduled in Summer 2017.

June 12-15

If this date is difficult for your group, and if you have a large group, we may be able to arrange another date.

Cost is $235 per person. That includes all program fees and leadership, lodging and meals. If you think costs may keep you away, please call us. We have some scholarships available for those in need.

To Register for this Event

  • Review the covenants and orientation materials (linked below), so folks know what they're signing on for.

  • Print the group registration form and return it with a non-refundable deposit of $75/person. We know it's a little bit of a guessing game when you're working with kids; do your best. Then, you may still add people up to 14 days before your event, space permitting. NOTES: You must have a group of 10 or more, including at least one adult per 4 youth, 2 adults minimum. Participants must have completed 5th grade.

  • Wait for your confirmation by email from our registrar.

  • Make sure we receive your final payment 30 days prior to your event start date.

  • Make sure we receive your completed covenants and health forms for all participants. Even the adults. Don't leave anything blank. Really.
